Job Overview
The position of Water Superintendent is available for the Village of Russells Point. Under administrative directions of the current Board of Public Affairs, oversees and bears ultimate responsibility for water plant and the distribution center; prepares and submits reports to local and outside authorities; conducts plant function analysis; determines equipment and material needs and prepares purchase orders for such; assigns and schedules tasks of subordinates; preforms a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, unskilled, and manual labor tasks to maintain water plant; solves complex customer work orders; collects water samples; responds to distribution emergencies; operates heavy equipment, hand, and light power tools to preform construction, maintenance, and repair activities.
Qualifications: Completion of secondary education (high school or GED) and 2 years related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the requirement knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licensure or Certification Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license; must qualify for and maintain insurability under the Village’s vehicle insurance policy; must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio EPA Class I Water Supply License.
