Job Title : 5th Grade Teacher (PLTW Automation and Robotics) Contract Days : 190 Apply online : The Teacher is directly supervised and evaluated by the school's AdministrativeTeam. Qualifications of Employment : Bachelor's or master's degree; any teaching license; must complete Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Training before the 2025-2026 school year. Develop students' understanding of robotics, coding, and problem-solving, while fostering teamwork and innovation. Create an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity and prepares students for a tech-driven world. A passion and love for learning and teaching students. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Resilience and a positive attitude. A growth mindset. Russellville School District Teacher Responsibilities : Follow all TESS rubric "proficient" level expectations. Develop lesson plans in the relevant subject area and grade and ensuring all lessons align with curriculum objectives. Create classroom rules and safety regulations and ensuring all students understand them. Use a range of appropriate teaching materials and methods to deliver content. Provide additional support and interventions for struggling students and extra resources to those ahead of the class. Prepare students for tests, exams, presentations, experiments, and other assessments. Grade assessments and provide feedback and reports to students and parents. Attend and interact in staff and parent meetings to provide helpful recommendations or voice concerns. Work at the building for the established hours of 7 : 45am - 4 : 00pm Establish rapport and professional relationships with students, staff, and parents. Supervise students in class, during events, and on field trips. Monitor students' overall wellbeing and collaborate with school counselors and other staff members when there are concerns or issues. Attend ongoing learning initiatives like workshops, lectures, conferences, and other events where you can expand education networks. Attend 1-3 night events such as family nights, literacy nights, award assemblies as requested by the principals. Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data. Other duties as assigned.
