Knowledge of course codesKnowledge of DESE rules and regulationsKnowledge of effective digital learning models and instructional strategiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure all ALE buildings are in compliance with ALE regulations and Guidelines.Summit yearly reports to the state for program approval for K-12 Programs.Provide a curriculum that concentrates on academic, social, and behavioral interventions servicesTo provide services for students to help them obtain High School GraduationTo plan and implement professional development to faculty and staff that meets the needs of ALE teaching environment and meets the state requirements for yearly professional development.To provide principal duties in the SLC Gardner Building.To assist the Junior High and High School in early identification of at risk students and creation of interventions to help students achieve academic success. Supervisor of the virtual school.
Supervise and evaluate all certified and classified staff at the virtual school. Lead the school level decision-making process, handle inquiries from parents about teachers and the virtual programSystem administrator for the digital learning management system (LMS). Responsible for the data input such as creating users and courses in the LMS and training staff to use the LMS. Ensure all course codes and licensures are correct and address any errors as neededTroubleshoot for student account related issues for the RSD active directory.
Collaborate with building principals to update, maintain, and follow the RSD RCVA Handbook annually - linked hereCollaborate and communicate clearly and routinely with building principals about student concerns, issues, transfers, credits, additions, withdrawals, etc.Ensure implementation of the Board-approved curriculum.Maintaining discipline throughout the student body.Plan and implement a systematic method of supervising and evaluating certified staff through the use of TESS.Assist in screening and selecting certified and classified staff to be recommended to the Board.Knowledgeable to district policies, local policies, state and federal laws relating to students and staff.Other duties as assigned
