Position Summary:
The Sales Associate’s duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their product/service needs, answer product questions and recommend the solutions. Our ideal candidate is able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales Associate, you must stay up to date with product features and promotions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess customer needs and aid and information on product features
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Actively seek out customers in store
- Remain knowledgeable on Russo products/services offered and discuss appropriate options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Cross-sell products
- Collaborate with co-workers to ensure supreme customer service
- Build productive and trusting relationships with customers
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, turning over showroom floor etc.)
- Other tasks assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Genuine enthusiasm for the company and our products/services

- Strong written and verbal communication
- Maintain knowledge in outdoor power equipment
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a consistent teamwork mentality
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Hands-on experience with POS systems: Microsoft NAV experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practice
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of personal responsibility
- Bilingual is a plus
Credentials and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role
Physical Demands
- Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
- Required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach and climb to perform work
- May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
- May be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time
