About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Building Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities. Your major end result will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our employees and customers. You will be working closely with our facilities management team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Skills:
As a Building Maintenance Specialist, you will be utilizing your strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems on a daily basis. You will also be utilizing your problem-solving and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger repairs and installations. Additionally, you will be using your attention to detail to conduct regular inspections of the building and identify any potential issues. Your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics will also be crucial in performing routine maintenance tasks. Overall, your skills will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance
- Conducting regular inspections of the building and identifying any potential issues
- Coordinating with contractors and vendors for larger repairs and installations
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities and expenses
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in a related field such as HVAC or electrical systems
- Experience working in a retail or commercial environment
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Physical Demands:
- Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
- Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
- May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
