Position Summary:
The Operations Supervisor produces staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures. The operations supervisor also assists the division manager and fills in for them when they’re absent.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Streamlines and delegates activities to the division coordinator and/or other staff
- Ensures the department is on track to meet its financial and departmental goals
- Ensure the division complies with company policies
- Performs performance evaluations, hiring and discipline for employees
- Build strong relationships with Russo management, industry, partners and vendors
- Oversee inventory control and check incoming and outgoing orders
- Meet goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to staff
- Maintain high visual standards in your work environment
- Work with the purchasing/receiving coordinator to complete the physical inventory process
- Propose innovative ideas to management
- Oversee planned maintenance or warehouse equipment and report service issues as needed
- Ensure items are properly stocked and located
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as defined by management
- Other tasks as defined by management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good general computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work well with various levels of staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solver
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Knowing all aspects of warehouse operations
Credentials and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of warehouse and/or logistics experience
- Previous supervisory experience
Physical Demands
- Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
- Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
- May be required to stand, walk and use hands and fingers for long periods of time
