Material Handler

Our client in Cortland, Ohio is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join their growing team!

Primary Job Function:

• To receive and unload incoming material, direct material to proper areas, prep and stage all materials for winding and inventory materials as required for ordering, inspect materials for accuracy, enter all necessary data into computer system, and carry out cycle counts as required by designated schedule

Tools Equipment Used:

• Computer equipment, drawings, cranes, slings, forklifts, pallet lifts, hand tools, bench saw, skill saw, shear table, banding tools and carpenter tools, etc.

Working Procedures and Skills:

• Perform all computer data entry for receiving and stock related activities
• Direct incoming trucks into dock area as required for loading and unloading
• Unload and load trucks
• Identify incoming material and process required paperwork. Perform receiving inspection to ensure materials are correct. Read and interpret drawings and blueprints
• Move material to proper area in factory for use of storage
• Maintain stock room area
• Inventory stock items
• Cut all material for winding purposes
• Stage jobs required by production workers
• Inspect proper materials are used in winding staging
• Assist other employees as directed by supervisor
• Keep work area clean and orderly

Details:

• Location: Cortland, Ohio
• Shift: 2:15pm-10:35pm, M-F
• Pay Rate: $19.27/hr
