Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
- Operate packaging machines, including starting and controlling them.
- Adjust equipment to improve performance and quality.
- Set and adjust speed, temperature, product flow, and positions and tolerances of equipment.
- Monitor filling equipment to maintain specified operating levels and detect malfunctions.
- Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quality and output.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication, English, and basic math skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work with hazardous materials safely.
- Ability to plan and organize work and complete it efficiently.
- Understanding of automated packaging equipment operation.
- Ability to connect pumps and filters for hand packing.
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset.
Desirable Qualifications
- Exposure to quality programs.
- Knowledge or experience in the paint/coatings/chemical industry.
- Previous experience with safety programs.
