Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the cafe.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day to day food production, ensure recipes are followed and food safety rules/cleaning guidelines are adhered to. Ensure daily/weekly food pars are met and food is stocked.
- Prepare weekly ordering documents to ensure food items are available on a daily basis. Manage food par list.
- Serve customers and partner with colleagues to create a welcoming environment. Operate the Square Point of Sale.
- Partner with owner to design, test, and produce new menu items. Continuously improve current food offerings with a focus on seasonality.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good condition.
-May assist in basic coffee/beverage preparation.
-This job is eligible for customer tips ( around $7-$10/hr)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in kitchen or food service is required
-Oregon Food Handler's license
- Baking/pastry experience is highly preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Proficient in inventory management practices
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
