About the Role:
Rusty Rental is looking for a well-rounded, dependable individual to join our growing team as a Counterperson & Yard Technician. This hybrid role combines customer-facing sales and equipment checkout duties with hands-on yard work and equipment handling. Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service Duties:

• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
• Book rentals and check-in equipment using our rental software
• Maintain inventory records and process paperwork
• Provide professional and friendly customer service
• Post advertisements and manage online content
• Assemble products and fulfill orders
• Stock and organize items for daily operations

Yard & Equipment Responsibilities:

• Clean, maintain, and organize lawn and construction equipment
• Load and unload equipment for customers and delivery runs
• Deliver and pick up parts or equipment from vendors or job sites
• Inspect equipment functionality and ensure proper attachments
• Fuel equipment, maintain key logs, and update registration files
• Take photos, complete inspection checklists, and collect signatures
• Maintain clean and safe yard and parking areas (snow/dirt/debris)
• Operate equipment such as loaders and forklifts (preferred)

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• One year of general labor experience preferred
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and process accuracy
• Must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screen

Computer Skills:
Proficient with Chrome, Windows OS, tablets, and basic software use.

Work Environment:

• Moderate-paced, low to moderate noise levels
• Outdoor work in all seasons (heat, snow, rain, etc.)
• May involve walking uneven terrain and some indoor desk work

Compensation:
Starting at $15–$20/hour based on experience
