Rusty Rental is a trusted equipment rental company specializing in landscaping and earthmoving machinery. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to help maintain and repair our fleet while assisting in daily operations.
Job Description
The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining rental equipment, troubleshooting repairs, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. This role requires mechanical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with customers when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain construction equipment, small engines, and various machinery
- Load/unload equipment onto trucks and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot repair needs efficiently
- Keep tools, parts, and consumables organized and stocked
- Use online resources and vendors to order necessary parts
- Perform equipment safety inspections and complete required paperwork
- Assist in rental operations, including counter sales as needed
- Transport equipment and perform occasional on-site service calls
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Mechanical experience with small engines (gas & diesel), hydraulics, and electrical systems
✅ Basic computer skills for inventory management and ordering parts
✅ Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
✅ Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
✅ Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
✅ Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
✅ Forklift/loader experience preferred but not required
