Job description
In this role you will be required to provide the very best in customer service to all Rusty's Weigh Scales customers. Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
- Balancing customer needs with employee availability
- Over-sight of internal as well as external paperwork
- Driver’s daily DOT logs
- Parts inventory and distribution
- Professional handling of stressful workload
- Customer response times
- Cost controls
- Effective internal and external communication
- A positive safety first management style
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of supervisory skills and experience including supervision of staff of up to 10 employees.
- Trucking, transportation and shipping knowledge, including but not limited to DOT rules and regulations.
- Experience and general knowledge of technical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
- Advanced organizational and computer skills including, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel; QuickBooks and Invoicing Software helpful.
- Solid geographical knowledge of East Texas.
- The ability to work within a team environment while establishing leadership.
- Oversee technician work performance, promoting accountability, and delegation of duties.
- The ability to work well under stress within a constantly changing environment.
- The ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when required, and be on-call weeknights, every other week, rotating with other personnel.
- The ability to diplomatically solve complex problems as they relate to customers, employees, equipment, paperwork, and inventory.
- The ability to make key decisions quickly and efficiently.
- To work with a positive, safety conscious attitude that conveys to staff and subordinates.

§ Manage staff by preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
§ Interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
