Rusty Taco – Cashier

Summary:

The cashier is the face of Rusty Taco to our guests. They need to be self-directed at all times, outgoing, and friendly to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. They ensure order accuracy and informs guests of all offers and promotions. They greet guests as they walk in, guide them through the ordering process and suggestively sell all menu items. They must be able to communicate well with others and handle themselves professionally in high stress situations.

• Serving guests efficiently, with a friendly, humble and helpful attitude at every opportunity.
• Willing to go the extra mile to assist fellow team members to accomplish the objectives of the shift.
• Commitment to taking responsibility for your schedule and following all company policies.
• Willingness to listen attentively to both our guests and your coworkers and effectively communicating across all levels of the business.
• Smile, be friendly, and polite
• Accurate order taking, includes repeating order to customer at time of order and delivery of food
• Take pride in every aspect of your work and perform it with energy and enthusiasm
• Be able to explain the menu and suggestively sell to all customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Accountable for the accuracy of guest’s order.
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and handle questions and concerns in a professional manner.
• Proficient use of the POS system.
• Maintains an organized, stocked, and sanitary work space.
• Accurate cash handling and credit card procedures.
• Setting up or closing down the dining room, restrooms, and patios.
• Answering the phones and taking call in orders.
• Helping pre-bus and cleaning the dining room during service while not on the register.
• Above all, abide by the promises made to our customers and each other. 

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent education is required.
• 1-year restaurant experience is required.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
