Job Overview:
Rutgers University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurosurgery department. As a member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform duties independently following established procedures and methods
• Provide acute care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and cover the Neurosurgical service phone for consults
• Update patients and family regarding plans of care
• Assist physicians with various procedures/surgeries and assist with coordinating patient cases
Requirements:
• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of New Jersey
• CDS, DEA, BLS & ACLS certifications
• 2-3 years of inpatient, acute care, and neurosurgery experience
• Ability to multitask and manage an acute patient load
