Essential Duties
- Prevention and intervention programs delivered to all students to help them achieve mastery of school counseling standards.
- Individual student planning designed to help all students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning.
- Responsive services such as individual or small group counseling and support to address immediate student needs that are interrupting their learning.
- Referrals: Connect students and families to school and community resources.
- Consultation: Share strategies that support student achievement.
- Collaboration: work with stakeholders to support student achievement and advocate for access and equity for all students.
- Program Foundation: planning of the counseling program.
- Management: assessments, tools, and systems used to efficiently and effectively deliver the comprehensive school counseling program.
- Accountability: analysis of program to determine effectiveness.
- Fair-share Responsibility: responsibilities all school staff share to ensure smooth operation of the school.
- Has completed the State of Tennessee requirements for school counseling educator licensure and preparation.
- Demonstrates competency in working effectively both on a team and independently.
- Demonstrates ability to organize multiple priorities and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Successfully meets all health, physical and background checks.
