Position Overview:
Forest City-Dunbar Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and flexible Temporary Part-Time Substitute Teacher to serve in our elementary school classrooms. This individual will provide classroom coverage when a regular classroom teacher is absent, supporting students’ learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
Supervise and engage students in a safe and respectful learning environment.
Support the educational and social development of students across various grade levels.
Follow school policies, procedures, and daily routines.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
Report any student concerns or incidents to the appropriate school personnel.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Ability to manage a classroom and foster a positive learning environment.
Strong communication, flexibility, and interpersonal skills.
Must meet all state and district requirements for substitute teaching, including background checks and any necessary certifications.
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary, part-time position.
Workdays and hours will vary based on the needs of the school.
