The Radiology Ast./Transport transports patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility.
Essential Functions:
Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department.
Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
Transports patients to and from nursing unit to imaging by bed, stretcher or wheelchair, observing safety precautions.
Responsible for the transportation and maintenance of O2 tanks and associated equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Demonstrates the ability to make appropriate independent decisions.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
BLS required
Minimum Work Experience
Customer service experience preferred.
