Job Title: Registered Nurse
Rutherford Regional Health System is a 143-bed acute care facility that offers a broad array of inpatient and outpatient care. We provide our services in a caring, professional environment through the teamwork of our medical staff and employees.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who can provide professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital. The successful candidate will collaborate with the medical staff and other members of the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage training and recognition of critical presentation, including stroke and chest pain
- Medication reconciliation training and understanding
- IV starts and blood collection
- Identifying and addressing patient/family care needs and problems
- Initiating discharge planning to meet individual patient needs
- Providing patient and family education on hospitalization, medications, and discharge instructions
- Utilizing safe medication practices and documenting outcomes
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire or transfer
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire or transfer
- Handle with Care within 4 months of hire
Licenses:
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license)
