Our partnership with Duke LifePoint Healthcare brings together the expertise of Duke University Health System and LifePoint Health to transform healthcare in Rutherford County. This collaboration combines clinical excellence and quality care with extensive resources and knowledge.
To provide professional nursing care to assigned patients within the hospital, collaborating with medical staff and other members of the healthcare team to deliver quality patient care. Activities are performed in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
Essential Functions:
We perform interventions as part of the plan of care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
We document patient care provided.
We monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as necessary to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
We assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
We collaborate across disciplines as needed to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
We evaluate learning needs of the patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
We require critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS within 3 months of hire; PALS within 3 months of hire.
Licenses: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license).
