Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking dynamic, and experienced candidates to fill the role of the Teacher:EEE/Early Ed Special Educator. The Teacher: EEE/PreK Special Educator is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in a PreK setting. This role focuses on fostering a supportive learning environment where students can develop academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills in alignment with state and federal educational laws. The educator will create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists, and contribute to the school’s overall educational mission. The Teacher: EEE/PreK Special Educator will ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations and support, while also adhering to best practices in special education and multi-tiered systems of support.
The successful candidate must possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid or eligible for teaching certification in Special Education or Early Childhood Education with the appropriate endorsements.
Knowledge of Vermont’s Education Quality Standards and Common Core State Standards.
Experience working with students with disabilities in early childhood or special education settings.
Strong understanding of the IEP process and ability to develop and implement educational plans.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and community members.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Understanding of Early Childhood Licensing and the PreK environment.
