Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Specialty : Nursing
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Day Shift 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 15 p.m., Evening Shift 3 : 00 p.m. - 11 : 00 p.m. (5 days per week with every other weekend required)
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience : Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred
License : Current LPN Licensure

Must-Have : Nursing home experience is needed; knowledge of hazardous materials and waste management
Job Description :
- Perform nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
- Use diagnostic results and other information for accurate patient evaluation.
- Apply knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and diseases in the nursing process.
- Conduct timely, comprehensive, and accurate reevaluations and documentation, ensuring privacy during evaluations.
- Contribute to individualized and appropriate plans of care with measurable patient care goals.
- Modify plans of care as the patient's condition indicates, prioritizing resident needs.
- Monitor patient outcomes and coordinate resources for continued care post-discharge.
- Collaborate with care managers, physicians, and other clinical disciplines to plan interventions for resident and family needs.
- Work effectively in environments with varying conditions such as dust and noise.
- Communicate effectively with patients and coworkers.
- Handle, dispose of, and identify hazardous waste and materials responsibly.
- Operate and clean equipment as required.
- Assist in lifting patients onto and off exam beds and procedure stations.
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures related to hazardous waste and materials.
This position requires the ability to work in a setting that uses paper documentation only and involves duties that routinely expose one to blood, body fluids, and tissue. Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent study is required. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
