The Clinical Educator functions as a leader in education, a staff development resource, and mentor. He / she supports collaboration between the academic and practice settings. He / she supports continuous learning and professional development through provision of in-services; education program development, implementation, and evaluation; and competency assessment. He / she promotes and demonstrates evidence based practice.

5 Years clinical experience in nursing in hospital setting to include 3 Years of department / unit / specialty specific experience.Previous educational nursing instructor experience preferred.Required Licenses / Certifications
Current Vermont RN and / or Advanced Practice Licensure in Vermont.Unit-specific training certifications as required per specific department operational framework (i.e., CNOR, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NRP, PCCN, CCRN).Completion of endorsed patient / visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines.BLS Certification through American Heart Association.Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development and 1 unit specific certification preferred or obtained within two years of hireRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
