What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preregistrar position at Rutland Regional Medical Center?
Accurately identify and pre-register patients in the hospital information system with complete demographic and insurance information to assure accurate records and timely billing for patients utilizing the services of Rutland Regional Medical Center and its provider-based clinics. THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
- 1 Year Customer Service Experience.
- Experience using computerized information systems in a business setting.
- Prior insurance related experience desirable.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation.
- Ability to discretely handle confidential information.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of insurance plans preferred.
- Ability to apply experience and knowledge to train and assist lesser experienced registrars.
Pay Range: $16.60 - $24.65
Salary : $17 - $25
