Under the supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, this position performs imaging on general radiographic equipment and expands their skill set into other modalities like Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density.
This role is responsible for appropriate scanning and imaging protocols in qualified areas where competent and certified. The ability to recognize general radiography anatomy is required. Providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures are also key responsibilities.
Utilizing RIS/PACS and HIS systems, proper patient exam recording and dissemination of results occur.
Minimum Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program
Minimum Work Experience
- Recent hospital-related experience (up to one year)
- Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience
- Portable and in-department fluoroscopy procedures
- Operating Room procedures
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current state R.T. license required
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- 24 ECE credits for re-certification and licensure within two years
- Endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification*
- ARRT Certified
- Specialty ARRT Certifications highly desirable
*Must obtain within three months of hire

- Maintenance of competencies in all certified modalities
- Scheduling flexibility to support staffing patterns and patient flow
- Knowledge of care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay Range: $25.99 - $38.42
