We are seeking a Director of Fuel Marketing, Sales & Strategy to join our dynamic team and drive the growth of our fuel business, including marketing, sales strategies, and long-term strategic development.
Position Overview:
The Director of Fuel Marketing, Sales & Strategy will be responsible for overseeing the fuel marketing initiatives, optimizing fuel sales, and creating and executing strategies to drive profitability across our network of convenience store locations. This role will lead all aspects of fuel marketing, including pricing strategy, promotions, loyalty programs, and market analysis. You will also work closely with retail operations, the supply chain team, and executive leadership to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Fuel Sales Growth & Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize fuel revenue.
- Lead pricing and fuel margin strategies to stay competitive while maintaining profitability.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
Marketing & Promotions:
- Design and launch targeted marketing campaigns to attract customers, including loyalty programs, discounts, and promotions.
- Utilize digital marketing tools and platforms to drive customer engagement and fuel sales.
Manage OTR and private fleet card business.
Manage CAT Scales and car washes.
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Lead the development of long-term fuel business strategies, including market expansion and brand positioning.
- Monitor and report on the performance of fuel marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing, sales, or strategy, preferably in the convenience store, retail, or petroleum industry.
- Strong knowledge of fuel pricing, sales strategies, and marketing tactics within the convenience store or energy sector.
- Proven track record of leading successful sales and marketing campaigns with measurable results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make strategic decisions.
