Description
Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Apprentice will conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment types at all Rutter’s held properties and assist maintenance technicians when assigned. This is an entry level position used to train for advancement to a technician position.
Responsibilities
- Conducts preventive maintenance functions, inspections and repairs on equipment.
- Visually inspects, tests, machinery, and
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines and equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems for machine
- Dismantles machines and equipment to conduct service and
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of
- Maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment, including repair of light fixtures and bulbs, minor dry wall and other wall and flooring materials, interior and exterior painting, concrete, and
- Operates and cares for company tools and vehicles in a safe
- Able to use current technology to complete daily tasks Maintains accurate billing practices
Preferred Education and Experience
- Understanding of heating equipment, electrical systems and light construction
- Understand and use technical manuals and documents including schematics and wiring
- Basic understanding of pneumatic
- Mechanically
