Designer / Documentation Engineer
Summary:

Core Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Design and develop CAD models and blueprints for new and existing products.
- Review, analyze, process, and manage engineering change orders.
- Support the development and enhancement of products through planning, design, construction, and documentation processes.
- Create and update instructional guides and parts manuals.
- Assist purchasing and production teams with daily inquiries.
- Participate in hands-on development and production activities, including testing design parameters.
- Maintain professional confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
- Degreed or CAD designer with 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in using SolidWorks for part design and drawing documentation.
- Professional demeanor and a collaborative mindset for working in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of effectively conveying ideas to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills suited to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer software, including Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or 5 years of relevant on-the-job experience.
- Experience in machine shops, including the use of lathes, mills, and hand tools.
- Familiarity with ERP and PDM systems.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams.
