About Us :

A Children's Carousel in Weston has been a leader in early childhood education for over 20 years, providing a nurturing and academically enriching environment for young learners. Our school follows the HighScope Curriculum and emphasizes hands-on learning, creativity, and social-emotional development .

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team and help foster a love for learning in our students.

Job Responsibilities :

• Plan, implement, and oversee developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the HighScope Curriculum .
• Create a warm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports childrens academic and social-emotional growth.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experiences.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets all state and school guidelines.
• Observe and assess childrens development, documenting progress and communicating with parents regularly.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
• Follow and implement all DCF (Department of Children and Families) regulations and school policies .
• Participate in professional development and training as required.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (Preschool or Pre-K preferred).

Fluent in English (bilingual candidates are a plus).

Must meet all DCF requirements , including :

Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education .

Passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
