Shift Manager
Reports to: General Manager/Assistant Manager
Department: Operations
Purpose of the Position:
The Shift Manager is responsible and accountable for assisting the management team in all restaurant activities. They set the highest example of guest service and guest satisfaction and empower the team to delight our guests. Shift Managers are well versed in every position in the restaurant and have the potential to promote into management roles with Rusty Taco.

Responsibilities:
The shift manager is a support role to the restaurant management team and is responsible for any tasked outlined by the General Manager.
Provides exceptional service to guests.
Manages staffing levels throughout the shift; makes appropriate business decisions on labor.
Receives product/food from vendors and is responsible for verifying the invoice, temperatures of product and the product quality.
Actively participates as a member of the management team and is expected to set the example and direction during the shift.
Helps the management team train new and existing team members to ensure they are following recipes and procedures.
Serves and supports the restaurant team members as well as develops them and enables them to serve guests and support one another.
Recognizes and thanks team members.
Excellent communication skills: oral and written
Knowledge:
Basic computer functions (MS word, excel)
Knowledgeable of Rusty Taco training procedures and materials
Food Handlers/Food Safety Certification
Responsible Alcohol Service Certification
