RN Supervisor – Samaritan Keep Home
Location: 133 Pratt St, Watertown, NY 13601
Shifts: 12-hour Days & Nights
Pay Rate: $60-65 per hour (based on experience)
About Us:
Samaritan Keep Home is a 272-bed long-term care and post-acute facility offering specialized care across 7 units, including 2 secure dementia units and post-acute rehab. We provide high-quality care to residents with chronic illnesses, dementia, diabetes, and those recovering from surgery or hospitalization.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to oversee patient care and nursing staff, ensuring smooth facility operations. The RN Supervisor plays a critical role, particularly during nights, weekends, and holidays, where they will be the sole RN on duty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Respond to acute changes in condition, falls, and emergencies.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and coordinate patient transfers to the ED if needed.
- Communicate with providers regarding patient status.
- Provide support for LPNs and CNAs on shift.
- Manage IVs, PICCs, ports, tube feeds, foleys, wound care, neb treatments, and post-op care (hips/knees/elective surgeries).
- Utilize PointClick EMR for documentation.
- No admissions past 3 PM.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in New York
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with dementia, post-acute rehab, and chronic illness management
