This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining the highest standards in the cleaning, sterilizing, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform decontamination, inspection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and endoscopy equipment. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic washers. Assemble and organize surgical instrument trays following established guidelines. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes. Adhere to hospital infection control protocols and standards. Participate in rotational on-call and holiday coverage as required. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sterile processing, including expertise in endoscopy. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or IAHCSMM preferred). Comprehensive knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and surgical instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
