The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment. Maintain compliance with infection control standards and hospital protocols.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on sterilization equipment. Monitor inventory and restock sterile supplies as needed.
Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments.
Document sterilization processes for quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPD) is required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing, preferably in a hospital setting.
Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization techniques.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
