What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Specialist - Per Diem position at RVNAhealth?
RVNAhealth is seeking a compassionate and reliable Per Diem Patient Transport Driver to assist clients in and out of our wheelchair-accessible van. This role involves driving clients, both with and without wheelchair needs, to appointments and ensuring a comfortable and supportive experience. Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients in and out of the wheelchair-accessible van, ensuring comfort and safety for all passengers.
Drive clients to medical appointments as requested, ensuring timely and safe arrivals.
Collaborate with the RVNAhealth scheduling team to confirm appointments and ensure van availability.
Offer comfort and encouragement to patients and their family members, providing support during transportation.
Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.
Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of the van according to protocol.
Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor of RVNAhealth Care Solutions.
Maintain knowledge of RVNAhealth's programs and services to better serve clients.
Adhere to all RVNAhealth policies and procedures, representing the organization in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years experience as a transporter with the elderly or special needs is preferred
Valid Driver's license for minimum of 2 years, with clean driving record
Knowledge of a GPS is preferred
CDL or F Endorsement is required for this position, must be willing to get endorsement upon hire
Great customer and patient service
Outstanding bedside manner
Excellent communication skills
Impeccable emotional intelligence and listening skills
A healthy endurance and ability to lift 50 lbs and walk up multiple flights of stairs
