Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating communication between clients and our service technicians. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs.
- Document customer requests and accurately write service orders.
- Communicate with service technicians to relay customer concerns and service requirements.
- Provide detailed explanations of services, including oil changes, repairs, and maintenance.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments.
- Follow up with customers regarding their service experience and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance customer experience.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in customer service within an automotive environment.
- Familiarity with oil change procedures, and mechanical knowledge.
- Prior experience in service writing or as a mechanic is highly desirable.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust.
- Experience with cash handling procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of engine repair is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
