Job Summary:
The successful Construction Project Manager at RW Mead and Sons is responsible for executing HVAC and piping construction projects from initial handoff to final completion. This role involves overseeing project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and quality control while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
This position requires a strong sense of urgency, self-motivation, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage project schedules to ensure adequate progress towards key milestones
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Communicate key objectives and targets to the project team
- Manage resources to ensure availability of materials, equipment, and manpower
- Review submittals for accuracy and release equipment to meet project schedules
- Participate in coordination meetings and communicate project schedules with the BIM team
- Budget and control expenses and man hours to ensure profitable completion
- Interface with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work as planned
- Counsel project engineers to facilitate productivity and career growth
- Solve problems using available knowledge and resources
- Provide executive-level reports to management on a regular basis
- Timely review and complete project close-out documents and tasks
- E nsure safe work practices and compliance with all Federal and State safety rules

- Coordinate and schedule equipment start-up with manufacturers and internal service groups
