Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for our facilities and personnel. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention, surveillance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security protocols are being followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action as needed.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when needed, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals on-site.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security threats.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- A valid security officer certification or willingness to obtain one is required.
