Job Description
Job Purpose:
The accounts receivable processor will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of incoming payments, maintaining and collecting on customer accounts, and supporting the financial operations of the company. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Functions:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to,
- Process incoming payments and post them accurately to customer accounts.
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts and work with customers or internal teams to resolve issues.
- Review and update aging reports to identify overdue accounts and assist in collections.
- Prepare and send customer statements and invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues and payment status.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the accuracy of customer information and transactions.
- Prepare reports for management regarding the status of accounts receivable.
- Monitor customer credit limits and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Assist with audits and other financial reporting as required.

- Teamwork - Ability to work well within a finance team and collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, payroll) to ensure smooth accounts payable operations.
- Problem-solving - Quickly identifying and resolving issues related to invoice discrepancies, payment errors, or missing documentation.
- Technical - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (required).
Education - Minimum High School or equivalent GED. Understanding of accounting is an asset
Experience β Accounts receivable or collections experience, preferred.
