RWC, Inc., a global leader in the design and production of innovative manufacturing systems is now accepting resumes for a Basic Building Maintenance/Cleanup Bench role.

The role involves performing general clean-up and maintenance duties, including retrieving and delivering parts within the plant. The primary responsibility is to handle janitorial tasks and general upkeep in both manufacturing areas and outdoor grounds, such as sweeping, cleaning, trash collection, restroom maintenance, and other assigned outdoor tasks. Additionally, the position requires managing the inventory of supplies necessary for these duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate all machinery and hand tools required for processes related to the cleanup bench.
- Operate all machinery and hand tools required in performing janitorial duties.
- Properly interpret mechanical detail drawings for the performance of cleanup and material identification tasks.
- Assists with light maintenance duties when assigned.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to operate a floor operated overhead crane.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
- Must either possess or be able to acquire and practice knowledge of basic computer skills and the ability to adapt to all applicable software that is required for the Company’s operations in the building process.
- Must either possess or be able to acquire and practice effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary to work with employees within the Company related to performing the essential job functions of this classification.
- Must be able to complete work in a safe manner.
- Must be physically able to lift and load from the floor to overhead heights weight up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass the state approved written and hands on test in order to effectively operate a fork truck.
- Must be able to pass the state approved written and hands on test in order to effectively operate a floor operated overhead crane.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Normal manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and excessive noise associated with the manufacturing process.
- Restroom facilities environment.
- Outdoor Michigan environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
