Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service and Rental Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our rental and service departments. This position requires excellent customer service skills, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding rentals and service appointments
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the service operation, including scheduling, dispatching, and customer service
- Monitor service requests and assign technicians to appropriate jobs
- Communicate with customers to schedule service appointments and provide updates on status
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Manage rental reservations, ensuring vehicle availability and timely pickups/drop-offs
- Prepare rental agreements ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Conduct pre and post-rental vehicle inspections to assess condition and ensure readiness
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and rental management software
- Prior experience in commercial rental and/or service is a plus
- Familiarity with trucks and vehicle operations is a plus
