The Vice President, Procurement Solar and BESS will lead Capital Equipment Procurement of Solar PV and Battery Storage projects for RWE Clean Energy (PV modules, inverters, batteries, etc.). Reporting to the SVP of Procurement, they will provide leadership and guidance to the team, interface with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to RWE Clean Energy growth targets.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, develop, and coach the PV & BESS Procurement team.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing Procurement Category and Contract Strategies.
- Serve as the key interface between internal stakeholders (Development, Engineering, Project Management, Project Execution, etc.).
- Oversee strategy implementation for tendering, evaluating, and contracting Solar PV & Battery Energy Storage equipment to support new build projects. Drive value-creating procurement solutions.
- Work closely with the Development, Engineering, and Construction teams to analyze various procurement options for projects and ensure Supply Chain activities are performed consistent with established schedules and budgets.
- Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and major contractors providing services to the renewable energy industry.
- Drive Supplier Relationship Management and Evaluation. Implement contractor performance and risk measures.
- Monitor the regulatory environment to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
- Ensure that policies, compliance rules, and processes are properly implemented and observed.
- Provide market analysis and set the basis for a sustainable supply chain during project execution.
- Track performance using metrics that enable acceleration of growth with a major focus on process efficiency, followed by a focus on reducing spend and total cost of ownership.
Qualifications :
Pay range : The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $190,000 - $250,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
