Head of Corporate Communications U.S.
will be responsible for overseeing all communications activities of RWE in North America. You and your team will position RWE as a leading renewables player in our core markets and you will serve as a trusted advisor for the Executive Management team.The communications team supports the business to achieve its ambitious growth targets by establishing highly professional communications to all internal and external stakeholders targeted by Communications.You will report to the CEO of RWE in the U.S. and work closely together with the Head of Group Corporate Communications & Public Affairs in Essen, Germany.Role Responsibilities : Establish and lead the communications team in the region supporting responsibilities for internal communications, media relations, social media, and Public RelationsDevelop communication concepts that help achieve RWE's business ambitions in line with RWE's Growing Green strategy including working closely with the business to implement creative and targeted communication concepts & activities to inform and engage your key internal and external stakeholdersPosition RWE and shape the awareness of RWE as one of the leading renewables companies by driving efficient and state-of-the-art external and internal communication in the respective channelsBuild, foster, and expand networks with relevant journalists to proactively drive the media strategy and strategically position the company, as well as, the CEOIncrease the awareness of the RWE brand and its business by making the variety of the business visible in the company's social media channels, on the corporate website, and through necessary branding campaigns for specific topicsSupport key business projects by developing and implementing communication concepts for the sites including necessary PR events and sponsoringCreate inspiring and engaging internal communications to support our open, inclusive RWE culture and our values of Trust, Passion, and Performance, supporting the Executive Team to communicate in a transparent, empowering way by providing the right channels and toolsRequirements and experiences : 10 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, and / or journalismBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, Master's degree preferredFundamental understanding of the energy markets and energy policyAn established network of relevant media outletsExperience in developing, managing, and refining different communication channelsProven track record of building, leading, and inspiring professional communications teamsAbility to network and be a team player who thrives in collaborating and working together in teamsCapability to develop yourself and your team to their full potentialSelf-motivated to drive the communications team and deliver resultsStrategic thinking, ability to push the boundaries to position RWE as a leading renewables playerEffective communication skills and an ability to represent internally & externallyAn open mindset; a self-reflective personality, able to learn and act on feedbackHands-on mentality; actively involved, pragmatic, and fact-focused attitudeThis role offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office.Benefits offered :
