Job Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for:
- Designing and executing educational programs for all levels of professional, technical, and ancillary staff
- Developing and overseeing monthly education calendars
- Reviewing policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and nursing literature for evidence-based clinical guidelines and standards of care
Education and Training
The Clinical Nurse Educator must have:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of 2 years general practice and 3 or more years experience in an OR, PACU, or Perioperative area (adult population)
- Minimum of 2 years previous teaching experience in a service setting
- Course completion in IV Therapy required
- ACLS and Critical Care certification a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Word Documents, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
