Job Description:
The Director of Quality and Medical Staff will have a significant role in implementing government payment strategies and providing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement support across all RWJBarnabas Health hospitals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with finance department personnel at system facilities to ensure accurate determination of third party receivables/payables.
- Oversee revenue and receivables reporting to comply with GAAP.
- Manage completion of DSH, Medicare Bad Debts, Wage Index, and Geographic Reclassification projects.
- Proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of government payment regulation and third party revenue accounting practices.
- Excellent communication/staff management skills.
- Promote a positive atmosphere and maintain a high degree of customer service orientation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word).
