RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider at the New Brunswick campus for the Inpatient Neurosurgery service,
This is a part-time, variable position 24hours per week,
Including nights weekends and holidays,
Seeking an APP with a current NJ license, NCCPA, DEA, CDS, ACLS, and BLS to work with the inpatient Neurosurgery service,
NP candidates must be FNP certified with acute care experience due to the pediatric population on the service,
Ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of inpatient or acute patient care experience in neurosurgery with a desire for acute inpatient work,
Must be willing to become proficient at all inpatient bedside neurosurgical procedures,
Surgical first assisting experience is also preferred,
APN must have RNFA certification in order to work in the operating room,
Duties include but are not limited to:
ICU and Floor patient rounding
Neurosurgical bedside procedures,
Attending and participation in multidisciplinary rounds
Covering Neurosurgical service phone for consults and trauma calls,
Updating patients and family regarding plans of care,
Goals of care discussions,
Surgical first assisting
