Job Overview:
Ocean Heart and Vascular is looking to add a qualified full-time Cardio Vascular Tech in Barnegat, NJ. The Cardio Vascular Tech will operate and assess monitoring of patients in the Cardiac Lab.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred but not required.
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Current RCIS certification or RAD license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Certified/Licensed CVT or RT in NJ
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift, 40 hours/week
- Full Time Schedule
Essential Functions:
- Administer individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardiac catherization lab procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures.
- Assists MD with Cath/PCI, peripheral, structural heart (Mitraclip, Watchman), EP cases, and neuro.
- Adheres to on-call policy requirements.
- Executes special assignment with the lab.
- Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control.
- Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
