Carpenter

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring for a Lead Carpenter at the New Brunswick location. This is a Full-Time, day position.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School/Vocational School graduate or equivalent.
• Sufficient experience through Carpentry apprenticeship and/or broad experience to quality as a Lead Carpenter.
• Seven years of experience as a Carpenter

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• New Jersey Driver s License

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions remove when posting):

• Full-Time
• Days
• 40 Hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Under general direction, performs maintenance, repair fabrication, and installation of architectural building finishes, items/tasks such as: calculates quantity of materials needed and requisitions lumber, hardware and other supplies.
• Selects stock, tools and supplies such as fasteners and adhesives used to repairs architectural surfaces.
• Removes and replaces non-functional hardware, cabinetry, counter-tops, shelving, partitions, doors, windows, walls, floors, furniture and building framework using power tools such as planer, sander, saws and drills or hand tools such as planes, chisels, rasps and saws ( in a safe manner according to manufacturers and departmental guidelines) in a safe, effective and sufficient manner in response to or in support of customer needs.
• Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility.
• Ability to drive all types of automobiles/trucks/vans including 4 wheel drive, automatic and manual transmission.
