What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Educator - Full Time - Days position at RWJBarnabas Health?
Job Overview:
Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff in the outpatient Steeplechase Cancer Center. Provides support for clinical practice at point of care. Role models patient care practices through direct patient care.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Current New Jersey RN License
- Minimum of three years experience in Oncology Nursing
- Knowledge of principles of adult learning
Preferred:
- Master s Degree in Nursing
- Experience using an electronic health record, preferably Epic
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively
- Competent in use of all Microsoft Office applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- AHA BLS and ACLS Provider
- Chemotherapy Certification
- National Nursing Certification required, If not certified at time of hire, expectation to receive certification within one year of hire.
- Current New Jersey RN license
