Job Overview:
RWJBH is seeking a dynamic Coordinator Logistics Registered Nurse for the Bed Management team at our New Brunswick campus.
Qualifications:
- BSN required
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and clinical skills
- Proficient computer skills
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift, 24 hours per week, 7a- 7:30p
- Monday Friday, some weekend commitment and holiday rotation
- Part-time
Essential Functions:
- Coordinating a bed management team placing patients in the right bed at the right time.
- Facilitates the bed management process throughout the institution.
- Manages compliance with regulatory requirements as well as RWJUH policies and procedures i,e, EMTALA, HIPPA.
- Maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of patient placement.
- Ensures the optimal usage of in-patient bed resources achieved within the parameters of defined policy, ensuring that each acute hospital bed is appropriately assigned.
- Particular attention to be given to the availability of sufficient beds for Emergency admissions, Transfer Center, and all patients portals.
- Liaison and consult with medical and nursing personnel in the discharge and transfer of all of the above functions, so as to ensure the efficient and effective maximization of the hospital bed base.
