Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Director Patient Care for our Behavioral Health Unit at RWJ University Hospital - Somerset in Somerville, NJ.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Current New Jersey RN Licensure required
- BLS required. (American Heart Association)
- Previous nursing leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health and/or crisis setting required
- Board certification in nursing leadership and/or behavioral health preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
Essential Functions:
- Unit staff includes RN's, PCA & Unit Secretaries
- Manage the staffing, budget & quality measures of the Unit
- Act as an integral part of the Nursing Leadership Team at RWJ Somerset
- Responsibility for multiple teams who support daily essential patient care
- 24/7 responsibility of the unit
- Recruiting and managing multiple teams
- Improving and maintaining quality of care and customer satisfaction
