What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker position at RWJBarnabas Health?
Job Overview:
This position is responsible for assembling and delivering patient trays. After all patients have received their meal, staff will move to the dishroom to prepare all items for the next meal service. Employees will be trained in the needed area of the kitchen and will be assigned those positions at completion of training.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Previous food service experience
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift working, 3:30pm-7:30pm each day
Rotating weekends and holidays
Per Diem
Essential Functions:
- Loading, transporting of food trucks, washing of dishes, removal of garbage and trash.
- The overall sanitation of the department soaks, washes, rinses, sanitizes, and stores all pots, pans, and utensils used in food preparation for service.
- Removes all garbage from the department as needed and instructed by the supervisor and places clean liners in garbage cans.
- Cleans and sanitizes cans as needed
